Geun Young Hwang was born in 1991 in Seoul, South Korea, and graduated from the École supérieure d'art d'Aix-en-Provence in 2022. The artist lives and works in Marseille, where she has set up her studio.
Her projects have been presented in various venues, such as Frac Sud-Cité de l’art contemporain in Marseille in 2022, MAC Arteum in Chateauneuf-Le-Rouge in 2023 as part of the P.A.C Festival, the Miramar residency in partnership with the Écoles du Sud network, the Institut Français de Fès in Morocco, and Dos Mares, as well as the Art Explora Festival in Marseille in 2024.
